Strandberg Family Fund

The Strandberg Family Fund supports initiatives that advance a sustainable marketplace. Coro Strandberg established this fund on her retirement as Chair of the Board of Vancity in 2000.

As the founding Chair of Vancity Community Foundation and now an influential sustainability consultant, Coro understands the power of foundations to foster the development of healthy communities through grants and investments. In her work she develops strategies, research, tools and guidelines to accelerate and transform the role of the private sector in catalyzing social well-being, a vital economy and a healthy environment. Coro launched the Strandberg Family Fund to celebrate the births of her two children, Mireta Strandberg Salmon and Brennan Strandberg Salmon, in 1999 and 2000 respectively. She hopes the Strandberg Family Fund will help create a more sustainable future for her children -- and all children.
