We have received reports of third parties posing as Vancity Community Foundation (VCF) employees on social networking sites and apps requesting donations or money transfers. 

Please be advised that VCF will never: 

• Solicit funds through direct social media messages. 

• Ask for money transfers to individual email accounts. 

To ensure your donation is secure, please give directly through our website. If you’re ever unsure about a request, feel free to contact us at give@vancitycommunityfoundation.com or call 604-877-7647 to verify. 

If you are aware of a scam or fraud, we recommend that you log a report with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, Canada’s national reporting centre for fraud and internet crime where reports are coordinated and investigated. You can log a report via their website, or call them at 1-888-495-8501.
